LIO is a music artist who skillfully blends various types of genres
LIO is a music artist who skillfully blends various types of genres in his live performances as well as his studio recordings. Having sung and played in several alternative rock bands in Mexico he decided to embark on a new solo project that has led him to explore new possibilities for his artistic vision. His first release, TAURO EP (2007) was recorded in NYC by producing duo GLACIERZ. In late summer of 2008 the CRYSTAL EP, his current second release, was produced and performed by LIO and also co-produced and engineered by Parlange, in beautiful Vancouver, British Columbia. It is the artist’s first conceptual album, in which all of the songs and the sonic character of the recordings are greatly inspired by crystal birth and growth, a process otherwise known as crystallization.
