THE LYMONS

The Lymons came together as a result of love for the road and fear of commitment.

Much band whoring led to a Canadian tour in 2009 where chief songwriter/guitarist Carman Lethbridge stepped in as bassist and met ace drummer Tim Huston; laying the foundation for Joseph Blood’s touring band.

Insanity, hilarity and incomprehensible demoralization ensued. Upon returning to Vancouver the band enlisted the help of Damion Gray on keys and Ben Price on sax. Thorsten Abel came on to handle bass duties as Carman switched to his first love, the guitar.

A few smaller tours over the next few months and the band grew tight when the news came; Blood was putting his solo career on hiatus to focus on playing guitar with Bend Sinister. Realizing such chemistry was rare, the band decided to move forward as The Lymons.

With a handful of songs that were written over the previous year the band began recording demos in their jam space; to surprisingly good results. With a wide range of influences from Roy Orbison to The White Stripes the Lymons’ sound has many different flavors. The five members bring such a vast array of influences that all contribute to the Lymons’ fresh and familiar sound.
