Their self produced album is out now!

What does music sound like? If you ask Watasun, they will play you a melting pot of rhythm and melody. Watasun, founded by two members, have been known to create an energy that most standard size bands aim for. Critics describe Watasun as a very fun, upbeat band that interacts well with the audience.

Reid Hendry is the multi-talented percussionist who performs on the Cajon, often accompanied by his steel pan and tambourine. He sets the tone so Ronii Wata can flow on the acoustic guitar and sing the songs.

Saw these guys at Bluebird North last week. Great music! Great fun! Picked up their album and it’s excellent.

Saw these two at the Fairmont event for the Vancouver Food Bank.  What a surprise. These unassuming couple of guys can syncopate!  Amazing engaging rythmns, fast talking patois singing, easy going uplifting tunes that are free feeling and fun.  Very easily enjoyed cross generationally.  I am 60ish and there were kids of about 7 and 10 years or so, and we were all smiling and having a great time too.  More talent packed into these two musicians than is often found in an entire band.   And, no, I am not related to either one, nor do I know them or have I met them before.  Hire these guys, you will be throughly entertained.  G.G.
