Hot off the heels of his successful international tour, Canada’s beloved über hip crooner and international recording artist, Matt Dusk, is thrilled to be releasing his 5th album Live From Las Vegas with Universal Music. This special edition double CD/DVD was recorded on August 25, 2010 at the Rio Hotel in Las Vegas and will be available nationally at retail and online on May 10, 2011. PBS is currently airing the Las Vegas special in the US. The North American tour will begin in Montreal, QC on April 1st and run until May 28th (Canadian dates below). Montreal technical death metallers Derelict are streaming a new track online as a preview of their next album.

Titans Eve came together when brothers Brian (guitar/vocals) and Kyle Gamblin (guitar/backup vocals) decided to start their own musical project in 2008 after the departure of previous projects. The line up of Titans Eve was completed with the recruitment of Jesse Hord (bass) and Casey Ory (drums), from there the Vancouver-based band have set out to create honest, powerful modern metal and have repeatedly piled into the “Titan Train” (i.e. their 2007 Ford E-350 van) and traveled across Canada,

The debut album “One Man One Voice Two Hands EP” is the accumulated emotion of four years of the life of Brett Wildeman. Growing up on the west coast of Canada, Brett’s exposure to the raw natural beauty of the landscape juxtaposed with the realities of climate change and environmental degradation meld into music and lyrics that reflect the tumultuous times and daily struggles of life. With roots in the Celtic tradition, the material from this EP draws on rock, folk and hip-hop.

While it might sound a bit premature and boastful, we’re confident that Egyptrixx’ debut CD Bible Eyes will end up amongst the top electronic music releases of 2011. Those in the underground are already familiar with Egyptrixx through the praise garnered from heavyweight DJ’s, including Sinden, Mary Ann Hobbs and Drop the Lime and influential publications such as The Fader, Xlr8r and The Wire magazine. Recorded over three months during the summer of 2010, Bible Eyes is a complete work that manages to bring different sounds and styles together in a seamless manner. It could very well be the Music Has The Right To Children or Untrue of 2011.

A couple friends recorded a Christmas album this year and we’re selling it online now for $4. Their donating all proceeds from December and January to the Greater Vancouver Food Bank.

Ive listened to it and these guys are very talented. To bad that they are not in a band, however they have taken their combined talent and put it towards something that will help our most neediest friends in the Lower Mainland.
