A couple friends recorded a Christmas album this year and we’re selling it online now for $4. Their donating all proceeds from December and January to the Greater Vancouver Food Bank.
Ive listened to it and these guys are very talented. To bad that they are not in a band, however they have taken their combined talent and put it towards something that will help our most neediest friends in the Lower Mainland.

Release Me, the first single from the new self-titled album by Western Canadian rockers Eldebrock (www.Eldebrock.net) is not only skyrocketing with buzz, but now it’s rocking the skies too. Their new hit song will now be featured nationally and internationally on the Canadian Pop music-only channel on Thomas Cook Airlines in November, December and January. Between 1,000,000 and 1,800,000 passengers are predicted to fly nationally and internationally on Thomas Cook airlines during the upcoming three-month period.

Being seasoned musicians the band was determined to take a different approach than they had in the past and make sure that playing music remained enjoyable. There is no point in stressing or complaining that you are not getting signed or making it big, that will ruin all of the enjoyment. It should be a party, not a stress fest. The “could have been, would have been, should have been” attitude was out the window and is not permitted. They certainly would welcome a deal if it came along but Sinister Black is interested in being original and writing music for enjoyment.

Having received accolades from Rolling Stone, My Bloody Valentine, and NASA’s mission control, transatlantic space-rock orchestra The Flowers Of Hell release their third album, “O”, through Optical Sounds via Outside Music on November 16. The release is a 45 minute classical-meets-shoegaze track that comes on a double-sided CD/DVD, with a regular stereo mix on the CD side and a 5.1 surround sound mix on the DVD side, along with a live concert film and various special features.

London, UK’s MetalBox Recordings announces the signing of The Mark Inside The band released their new EP, False Flag, on vinyl and digitally in Canada on October 26, 2010. Geoff Bennett – bass, Gus Harris – guitar, Chris Levoir – vocals, guitar and Reade Ollivier – drums are back with a strong collection of six songs that will take you from darkness to light and back again. Their first single, “Can’t Take Her With You (When It’s Over)”, was released to radio across the country this week.

Desi Method is a music movement out of Vancouver. It`s a bunch of artists who have a common goal of making great music and pushing the boundaries of creativity. Even the website header was carefully thought out and then designed by Sze, the painter-graphic artist of the team, to go deeper into the story of Desi Method. Every member of Desi Method believes Vancouver has something going here and we have to just keep pushing the creative energy to take it to new heights.

Cameron Scott Fraser
After rising through the ranks of Vancouver’s burgeoning music scene as part of Mint Record’s indie-pop darlings, Bella, Cameron Scott Fraser has decided to forge ahead on his own and pursue a new direction.
Thirteen years after picking up his first guitar, Cameron has recently released his debut solo effort, “Promised Land”. Drawing from the influences that led him to fall in love with music in the first place, namely mid-to-late 90′s gems such as R.E.M.‘s “Automatic For the People”, Radiohead‘s “The Bends”, The Verve‘s “Urban Hymns” and Travis‘ …
