Chika Buston

Born and raised in beautiful Burnaby, British Columbia, Canadian singer/songwriter Chika Buston showcases her talent on the Vancouver music scene. Having played guitar since the age of 14, along side 12 years of classical piano training, she’s currently  recording her first full length album.  While completing her 4th year towards her bachelor of arts degree at SFU, she has still managed to play music in Vancouver, Canada to Osaka, Japan.

With influences such as Neil Young, Joni Mitchel, Carlos Jobim to Billy Holiday, her ambient acoustic sound has landed her feature guest performer with the Amnesty International Film Festival to supporting such bands as Pacifika, Zaza and Kristina Emmott.

After two years, she still hosts an evening of song bi-monthly at Vancouver’s Cafe Montmartre with the fiddle extraordinaire, Caitlin Reid of The Wandering.
