Picture it… camping right along the Kettle River surrounded by all kinds of beauty landscape. You’re chillin’ out, maxin’ relaxin’ all cool, just soakin’ up the sun rays with your friends.

Then the next band kicks in, and you head over through the festival gate to get a closer look, to get in on the action. Next thing you know you’re partying all night long and you’re realizing that you’re having the time of your life… for reals.

It’s not far away my friends. Buy your tickets now and we’ll see you at Ponderosa this Labour Day long weekend.

Our 2013 lineup has been launched so go on and tell your friends! This is a little taste of what we have in store.

Who doesn’t love a fresh air festival? What better way is there to spend a long weekend than camping by a river in beautiful British Columbia and listening to bomb beats in the hot sun, where the night comes alive with music and amazing times? We’ll tell you… there ain’t nothin’ like it!

Grab some friends this Labour Day long weekend and get yourself to the first annual Ponderosa Festival in the stunning Kettle Valley. A short drive south of Kelowna and a 45 minute drive east of Osoyoos, sits the little town of Rock Creek, BC. The local fair grounds, surrounded by beautiful forest and nestled on the banks of the Kettle River, is where the stage will be set to rock, where the people will come together and where the party will erupt! It will be the place where artists from all backgrounds can put their work on display and introduce people to their craft.

We want Ponderosa to be the kind of festival that people get excited to come back to each year, that feels like a weekend camping trip with 1000 friends, with bands that rock the crowd, and that the community is glad to host! Join us Aug 30 – Sept 1 for a weekend of Art, Music & Freshness!

Check out their website here!

We want everyone who attends Ponderosa to have the most amazing time! There are plenty of unreal festivals and events happening every weekend all across North America, but the key is to find one that’s your style. Our goal is to put on a summer long weekend event that you’ll never forget! If you’re looking for a rowdy meathead style party, then Ponderosa may not be the festival for you, and that’s ok. If you’re looking for good music, good people and a good party then come on out and let us rock your world!

Now, let’s get down to the nitty gritty… have a read through our festival info below to start getting as excited as we are!

-Kris and Kia, The Ponderosa Crew.

Though it looks beautiful and refreshing, don’t drink from the Kettle River. There’s drinking water available at the campgrounds. Bring on your empty water bottles and jugs!Styrofoam is not allowed within the fair grounds or in the campsite. It’s fair grounds policy, plus styrofoam sucks anyway? There are men’s and woman’s coin operated showers at the campgrounds but you should expect some lineups. The Kettle River is for swimming, splashing, and tubing, not for bathing or shaving armpits.

If you bought a paper ticket from us or at one of our rad distributors bring it! If you purchased your tickets online you will receive a copy by email. Please bring a printed copy of your e-ticket with the barcode to the event. This will be how you obtain your very cool Ponderosa Fest wristband and party on!

Your wristband is your lifeline to the festival. Keep it safe! If your wristband becomes too loose, frayed or falls off, hang on to it and speak with event staff.

If the wristband appears to be deliberately cut or removed, no replacement
will be offered. Ponderosa will not reimburse or replace lost or stolen

Ponderosa will be held at the Rock Creek Fair Grounds in Rock Creek, BC. Rock Creek is located at the junction of HWY 3, also known as the Crowsnest HWY, and HWY 33.

If you’re coming from Kelowna, it’s super easy. Just get on HWY-33 east, follow the road for just under 2 hours, and say “HELLO ROCK CREEK!”

For those of you coming from Vancouver, you’re still looking sweet. Just head east on HWY-1 (Trans-Canada-Highway) and merge onto HWY-3 east just after passing Hope. Once you’ve hit Osoyoos, BC down in the beautiful Okanagan, you’re just a short 45 minutes cruise away to Rock Creek.

For those who choose to fly in from other areas, we recommend the Kelowna International Airport (YLW). You’ll be able to find frequent flights to and from most major North American cities.

There will be a variety of food vendors to suit all appetites, diets, and cravings.

Rock Creek is a small farming community with just a handful of local businesses. The Rock Creek General Store is your one stop shop for things like liquor, food and gas. If you’re not able to find what you need in Rock Creek, the Village of Midway, BC is just a short 15 minutes down HWY 3 heading east. There you will find McMynn’s grocery and liquor store, as well as a hardware store in case you get the urge to build a tree fort.

Level 3 First Aid attendants will be on-hand throughout the course of the
weekend should the need for a band-aid arise.

An ATM will be available on the festival grounds and at several locations in Rock Creek and in Midway.

No outside alcohol can be brought in through the festival gates. You may be asked to show I.D. so make sure to have it handy.

No Styrofoam.

No glass bottles or camel packs.

No lawn chairs/tents/beach umbrellas.

Smoking is only permitted in designated smoking areas.

Everyone’s going to be having an amazing time, we just ask that everyone parties with some sensibility. The Rock Creek Fair Ground prides itself and works very hard at keeping the grounds pristine. We want everyone to have the utmost respect for the beautiful fair ground facility and the great staff and volunteers who are there to make sure you have a kick ass time.
