Zeppelina is Canada’s Only All Female Tribute to Led Zeppelin.

Zeppelina will be performing for VanMusic’s New Years Eve Party on December 30, 2011 at the British Ex-Servicemen Association Club in Vancouver, BC (1143 Kingsway).
 Our celebration will be Vol. 11 of the Indie Pop Vancouver Series. We are excited to have  Two Apple Tobacco opening the night, performing covers from legendary and visionary musician Frank Zappa. Please come dressed with your favourite psychedelic seventies clothes and feel transported to a world of magical tunes and classic songs. It will be a psychedelic rock night with talented musicians covering two of  classics of rock and roll, you won’t believe what these bands can do.

Cover is just 5 dollars and drink specials start from 2 dollars. Come and ring the new years with the crew of VanMusic. The British Legion is in 1143 Kingsway and it has parking in the back and in the front. Did I mention free pool and surprise munchies?

Zeppelina

Zeppelina is a Vancouver based tribute band, who decided to pay homage to their rock heros in the form of a stiletto stomping tribute to Led Zeppelin. The show features Western Canada’s finest female musicians who have the musical chops to pull it off with style and class…from a female perspective. Guitarist Jenny Page pulls off the bow solo in “Dazed and Confused” with absolute guitar wizardy while Roberta Plant handles the lead vocals with ease and a presence not to be missed. Bassist Jane Paul Jones is a multi Instrumentalist who draws upon her Keyboard and Flute Playing skills when needed in the song, and drummer Snarry Bonham hits with such a heavy hand that you will think John Bonham is being channeled through this girl. This is a show not to be missed.

Two Apple Tobaco

Two Apple Tobaco has developed a style uniquely their own, mixing rock and funk with elements of jazz, blues, folk, Latin and even hip-hop.Each of the members has an exuberant and energetic stage presence and a high level of musicianship that captivates audiences. This particular show will feature exciting covers of an artist who has been of great inspiration for them—Frank Zappa.
