Podcast July 27th: Two hours of summer

We started the show with a band from the UK called Cougar, we played 4 songs from their single Stay Famous on Counter Records. Kind of Post rockish.

Then Trans Am with two LIVE songs from their new CD Conspiracy of Gods and Futureworld.

The Inhabitants from Vancouver, these guys are playing on Thursday at the Cobalt, Their new CD is called Vacant lot and it is awesome.

Xiu Xiu with the song Dear God I hate myself.

De Lorean with a new CD called Subiza, these guys are from Spain.

We heard Mano Negra with the song Clandestino from the album by the same name, Mano negra was the previous band of Manu Chao. We also heard Por el suelo.

Inspector from Monterrey, Mexico, with the song Es Por Ti, great summer tune.

From El Salvador we heard Adhesivo, this is the new band of Pedro Dros, former member of Los Furios. The song was Vale Verga.

Ojos de Brujo from barcelona with the song Todos Mortales.

Another song from manu Chao, La Luna because the coputer froze with the next song.

The next song that played after we fixed the computer was Santa Lucia’s Who is going to bail me out. They have a new CD coming soon. Next show German is coming to the show.

Then from Mexico DF we played Mama Pulpa with the song que mal gusto which means what a bad taste.

We gave a away tickets for We Are Scientists that played on the Biltmore. We heard Goal England and Nice guy.

Los Furios from their new CD Run Devil Run we heard the song by the same name. They are playing Shamhbala and hopefully I will be there too.

Alex Chilton and Big Star because there is a tribute July 29 at the WISE Hall benefiting Community Kitchens.

The Pack AD, these girls from Vancouver have a new CD called We Kill Computers, the song was BC is on Fire.

Faux Amis with the song Ghosts.

Stars from Toronto with the song I died so I could haunt you from their new CD The Five ghosts

Petroleum by Products from the CD Superficial Artificial the song was called gangrene. These guys are from vancouver.

Half Chinese also from Vancouver the song was called Ever Crowley.

Kidnap Kids also from Vancouver with more ghosts songs.

Then Caribou from their new album called swim on merge records,

We finished the show with Chrystal Castles from Toronto with a couple of songs, fainting Spells and Celestica.
