Friday Sunrise 07/23/10 – Tobacco Brown & A Few New Bands From Toronto
Tobbacco Brown joins Mark Ferreby in live in studio and Jason calls in from Toronto with some of his Toronto indie choices.
Tobacco Brown is travelling the world in search of fast women and loose cars. Upon deciding sometime after his nineteenth birthday that he would like to give music an honest shot-Mr. Brown has been writing and performing almost non-stop. He currently has one album recorded with the help of Edouard Camou at Sinewavz Studios (http://www.sinewavz.com/) and a DVD titled ‘The Patio Sessions’ directed by Trevor Renney. All available to purchase at Mr.Brown’s live shows. Born in Vancouver and raised in London, Mr.Brown currently resides in East Vancouver. He has permanent ‘couch spine’ and is constantly embarrassing himself. His style has been described as ‘Jack Johnson on anti-depressants’ but if you ask him, he’ll tell you he’s more like a ‘Drunk Ben Harper.’
