Exclusive Interview with Deny Your Maker

Deny Your Maker started as almost all bands do… in a damp dark cave of a basement. The bands roots began when Kurt (The Icepick) Maas (Lead Vocals & Guitar) met up with Ian (Shredder) Buchanan (Lead Guitar) back in the summer of 2008. They started developing their style over the summer with Bassist (Kevin Miller) and Drummers (Dave Hodges & Jon Fink).

Their first album was never released…

Soon after that Kurt moved to the West Coast to pursue his career in Audio Engineering, and Ian, as a faithful band mate, moved with him. “The two of us drove my shitty Cavalier across the country with nothing but a backpack each, and a car stuffed to the tits with guitars and amps, I even had to drive the whole way because of a drinking incident days before which left Ian with a sprained ankle” said Kurt. “It was a pretty crazy journey, we did it old school, and took our time, it was awesome, and expensive, and only drove the wrong way for an hour once”

Titans Eve will rock the Funky Winkerbeans on Jan 22

This thrash metal band is ready to release their new CD The Divine Equal coming out fresh from the press on February 1st but you can take a peek at their fast and loud songs on the 22 of January at the Funky Winkerbeans in downtown.

Titans Eve came together when brothers Brian (guitar/vocals) and Kyle Gamblin (guitar/backup vocals) decided to start their own musical project in 2008 after the departure of previous projects. The line up of Titans Eve was completed with the recruitment of Jesse Hord (bass) and Casey Ory (drums), from there the Vancouver-based band have set out to create honest, powerful modern metal and have repeatedly piled into the “Titan Train” (i.e. their 2007 Ford E-350 van) and traveled across Canada,

Fuse Breaker

[gigpress_shows scope=upcoming artist=38 limit=10]
Fuse Breaker was started by Guitarist Chris Thomas “Red Ant Army – Dielectric – Thomas/Thomson”.
In late 2009 after the break up of “Red Ant Army” in the fall of 2009 he hooked up with “Dan Thomson” who he had been doing work with his solo efforts “Thomas/Thomson”. The idea had been running rapid in Thomas’s brain to do something heavy again but smoother and sexier. Threw trial and error Fuse Breaker was born. With the addition of the hard hitting Dave Schroeder on Drums – This …

Edges Of Seven (Eo7)

A kick ass band from Vancouver playing industrial metal, rock on!
Imagine Trent Reznor armwrestling James Hetfield, with Rob Zombie as referee….now you’ve got a good idea of the Edges of Seven sound. Simply put, a fusion of heavy rock and electronic influences plus one important element: “originality”.
