The Best Venues Are In BC!

1 February 2010 6 Comments

LogoThere is something about venues in BC!

I don’t know what it is but they are the friendliest anywhere else in the world. Here are a few examples why.

On Friday, January 22, 2010 the Cultural Olympiad kicked off at the Orpheum Theatre in Vancouver.

The French alternative rock band Phoenix headlined the event. I have to really hand it to this band, a powerful example of what happens at BC venues. If this was any other band I’m sure they would have stopped the show, but they played on! The lead singer gets pushed around a bit while excited fans get their photo shoot but this never fazed him as he was more then happy to give the fans what they wanted. Bravo Phoenix, Bravo.

The 2009 Sasquatch Festival is a prime example of what the power of one can really do. The energy must have been crazy for this guy, I really wish I would have been here for this one.

Well there’s 2 examples of why BC hosts the best festivals and concerts, mainly because of the people here love the music and just want to enjoy it.

What are your thoughts about BC events? Whats your best memory of a concert where you were proud it happened in BC (Best Concerts)?

Hey, what about the Malkin bowl concerts. I wish I could rent that place and bring Manu Chao and Ska-p to rock Vancouver.

  • That dancing dude was awesome.

  • I like the dancing guy too, but I really wish that I was at that Phoenix concert, that must have been wild!

This article doesn't make any sense. It starts with “The best venues are in BC…Here are a few examples why.” and then you mention only one BC venue, The Orpheum, and a festival that's not even in BC.

  • Oh looks like Neils right! What are you gonna do about it Jordan?

Maybe I should change the title to “The Best Venues Are In The West”?
