Au4

Vancouver electronica duo Au4 released new album “…And Down Goes The Sky”. With story-like lyrics and meticulous soundscapes, Au4’s “And Down Goes the Sky” sweeps its listeners into a world where fantasy dances with science, where the sacred joins the profane, where simplicity embraces complexity, and where life meets death. Listeners travel amidst the lush layers of pads and strings, operatic incantations of angels, pounding rhythms of deep electronic sequences, and the intimate whispers of singer and guitar.

Mercy Years

Mercy Years is a Vancouver band you will like.

Born out of Vancouver’s coffee scene, Mercy Years is a collaboration from parts of British Columbia, the Canadian Prairies and London, England. Euphoric melodies and driving rhythms reflect their expansive origins; hints of the UK post-punk scene are melded with Cascadian indie-rock textures resulting in a stirring wall of sound.

Diamond Dancer Review From The Railway Club

Their sound was full and vibrant and those twinkly guitar hooks had me feeling like I was at a show that was a mixing of early Smashing Pumpkins, Silversun Pickups and My Bloody Valentine.

Rolling Oyster Review With Paper Lions, Good For Grapes & The Slovos

By the end of the evening the crowd had gathered around the center of the bar in a circle around the band for the final sing along of the night. Paper Lions had a way of bringing everyone together and making us new friends while at the same time making us all feel like very old friends who hadn’t seen each other in ages, marking the close of a pretty sweet night on the Vancouver music scene.
