With just over a week to go before the gates open on the 39th annual Vancouver Folk Music Festival, all systems are go, and the full weekend daytime workshop and concert stage schedule, as well as the evening concert and Main Stage schedules for the annual event are now up online. The first workshop stage goes up at 2pm on Friday, July 15 and the festival runs to Sunday, July 17 in Jericho Beach Park.

The Best Vancouver Bands of 2015 according to what we saw!
As every year, VanMusic puts out a small list of the best Vancouver independent bands that are conquering the world and our city. Some of the bands here were on our list last year, some are not, but all are good. Some will be on next year as they will be releasing albums soon. Vancouver music lovers are set for a treat at the 2015 Lucky Lady IV Urban Cultural Festival June 19-21 in Vancouver, B.C.
The musical portion of the event will be June 20 – 21 this year and more than 4,000 people are expected to attend.
Highlights include a fully catered red-carpet event on a three-storey yacht featuring local and international musicians from a variety of genres including EDM, hip-hop, afrobeats, bhangra and more.

The Toasters were one of the first American bands in the third wave of ska, and are one of the longest active third wave ska bands. They have released nine studio albums, most of them on Moon Ska Records.
Moist announce show at Hard Rock Casino
Indie rockers and Juno-awarding winning Moist have just started a series of Canadian tour dates that will finish in their hometown of Vancouver at the Hard Rock Casino on December 4.
The tour dates were announced by the band earlier this year on their official website where they also offered fans VIP packages for each shows, which included a limited edition vinyl of their latest ‘Glory Under Dangerous Skies’, a signed poster of the band, preferred seating and much more.

VANCOUVER FOLK MUSIC FESTIVAL
The Vancouver Folk Music Festival today announced the line-up of artists on tap to perform over the weekend of July 19-21, 2013 at the festival’s beach-front site in Jericho Beach Park in Vancouver. Sixty-six artists and groups from over a dozen different countries, and with roots in many more, will gather together in the park for three days of concerts, collaboratory sessions and workshops.
