Mushy Callahan
All members of the band share a vision of reigniting the scene of Canadian music through writing, performance and touring.

Mushy Callahan began all playing together as children over a decade ago in Western Canada during the early 1990’s. The musicians split-up to play with other hard, pop, and alternative rock bands in Vancouver, Calgary, Toronto and Québec. After years of writing, touring and performing nation-wide, they were reunited and formed a new band, Mushy Callahan, that has now caught the attention of the Toronto music scene. Noah (lead vocals, guitar), Joel (drums, vocals) Lucas (lead guitar, vocals, synth-keys) and Jacob (bass), ages 19-28, have renewed classic rock with their ear-catching hooks, elaborate musical layers and stage presence. All four musicians began learning their instruments together at a young age; born performers, they are driven to write, record and perform. Their music reflects the essence of 60’s and 70’s rock and incorporate edgy guitar sounds and solid percussion that will entertain music lovers from different generations. Mushy Callahan has played a wide variety of venues at various festivals, and events, and band showcases. Most recently, the group placed in the top-five out of 40 local bands at the Toronto Events Showcase. At the same time, Mushy Callahan have been in the studio crafting their debut EP album at The Pocket, Toronto CA. Mushy Callahan has collaborated with various, internationally recognized producers and engineers. The album, which features the single Shot Down, was produced by Michael Sonier (Jully Black, Liz Coyles) under the supervision of Mike Turner (Crash Karma, Our Lady Peace) along with Burn, which was engineered by Chris Fudurich (Nada Surf, VAST) at Chemical Sound in Toronto.
Mushy Callahan now work and live together in a home studio in Toronto, ON in which they practice and write their music. Less than a month since releasing their debut EP, they have been warmly encouraged and well received by independent reviewers applauding their recent release. Mushy Callahan has recently caught the attention of the Toronto scene and as a result, Toronto music magazines have asked them for interviews (NOW Music Magazine). They filmed a segment on the internationally recognized new music show, Balcony TV. Their Youtube.com content has gained 100,000 unique views worldwide.
Mushy Callahan thoroughly love writing and performing together and are recognized as artists by their peers.
